The Scottish Highland Games is one of the most popular events in Scotland, with visitors and residents alike. If you visit between May and September, you’re bound to catch a gathering or two somewhere in the country. Games are held in many countries throughout the world where there are Scottish connections, but for now I’ll concentrate on Scotland.
Please note: This does not represent the full calendar. I only feature events that I know have a website, and update the site in a timely manner. If you know of any that I’ve missed, and meet that criteria, then please feel free to contact me and I’ll add them.
For most of the games, you just have to turn up on the day and pay for entry. A few of them do offer advance booking facilities, and full details will be on the official websites.
These are must-see events, combining a cultural treat and a fun day out for the family.
